I'd like to enter the "Author" info once in the Word doc properties and have
it appear by default in all future Word docs.
How can this be accomplished?
Thanks,
CM

The "Author" property defaults to the name entered for "Name" on the User
Information tab of Tools | Options.

If you've entered your name in the Tools > Options > User Information
dialog, it will automatically be placed in the Author field of the
File > Properties dialog of every document you create.
From there, all you need to do is insert an AUTHOR field in the
document wherever you want your name to appear.
