When I open some of my docs in Word 2002 and just glance at the first page,
I'm requested to save changes. I've made none. There are no headers or
footers and no time or date inserts. I've also turned off most of the
auto-test features. Others of my docs can be opened and closed without
having to save them again.
Can anyone give me suggestions to solve this annoyance? I've looked in the
FAQ for an answer to this problem, but can't find it. I know it's been
discussed some time ago. Thanks for any help.....Kim

Kim,

Your problem is likely embeded SmartTabs.  Tools>Options>Save and turn off
"Embed  SmartTabs"
