I am using Word 2000.
Program always opens up in a specific document, and if I
click on the new document icon, the very same document
comes up, as Document 2, untitled. I have to delete that
document in order to get a blank screen.
help pls?

See http://www.mvps.org/word/FAQs/AppErrors/BlankDocNotBlank.htm and (to get
back to Document1), delete temp files as described in
http://www.gmayor.com/what_to_do_when_word_crashes.htm
