I want to print the same letter in varying quantities (usually 100) but for
each run I would like to put a sequential numbering system somewhere on the
page. Can this be done automatically or do I have to copy and paste 100
pages and use page numbering.

One way is to create a file that contains your sequential numbers (this
becomes the Data file), then use a single mailmerge field in your letter to
insert the increasing numbers on the letters.

Herb

This has proved the right method for me. So simple and so obvious ----
except to me when I was looking too hard!!!
