MS Office Forum / Word / General MS Word Questions / July 2003Unable to save documents in Word 2000
Hi! I'm using Word 2000, and Windows 98 version 1. I'm unable to do a Save As in Word documents. Can anyone help me fix this, please? If I pull up a Word file, and then click File, Save As, nothing happens. It doesn't pop up the browser to ask where to save the document, as it normally would. Any suggestions? Thanks! Is this something you would recommend? I've already run Live Update (it's automatic) so can I now safely enable Office Plug-in? Is there necessarily any advantage to letting the plug-in run? We are assured by both Microsoft and Symantec that disabling the plug-in will not compromise our virus protection provided Auto-Protect is left enabled, and no one seems to be sure what the plug-in actually does, so why bother enabling it? -- Suzanne S.
