Hi! I am trying to send an e-mail with a Microsoft word document.
can send it, but when the person receiving tries to open the document
they get the following message:
The document name or path is not valid. Try these suggestions.
*Check the file permissions for the document or drive.
*Use the File Open dialog box to locate the document.
(C:\...\message.doc)
I have tried to save it to a different location or change th
permissions, but still it does not work. I, myself, can open it.
Anyone have any ideas?
Thanks for any help.

First of all, are your sure they have Microsoft Word -- a lot of ne
computers now come loaded with Microsoft WORKS -- they're no
compatible (oddly enough). If not, try saving as Rich Text Format, o
plain text format. They should be able to open a .txt or .rtf file wit
any program.
This also might be a problem with the recipient's e-mail server. Som
don't allow attachments through because of the high security

Hi! Yes, I do have Microsoft Word. I am using Microsoft Office 2002.
I have tried the options you suggested, but it still does not work.
Any other ideas?
Thanks!

If your recipient is using Norton AV - get him/her to uncheck its Office
Plug-in which is useless.
Also the file needs to be saved to the hard drive rather than opened from
the e-mail reader.
