footnotes to endnotes conversion problem

Hi

i've been passed a document which was created in Word 2000 and had around
700+ footnotes .. these were converted (prior to my seeing the document) to
endnotes.

However, the numbering is fine up to 359 then it starts at 59 again, goes to
65 then has 1a & 1b, then reverts to 358 and goes to 623, changes back to 1
goes to 100, then back to 1 again and goes to 18.

What i need to do is somehow get the numbering continuous throughout the
document but i can't spot where the problems might be - this is a very
urgent document - does anyone have any suggestions on how to fix it?

Cheers
JulieD
PS i've only got word 2002 & 2003 on my machine - can i use this to fix it
or should i work on a 2000 version?

Hi All

don't worry about this - found a macro by Doug Robbins that fixed the
problem.

Cheers
