Automatically update user field

I'm trying to create a template that other users can use and would update
the user name automatically on opening.  I inserted a user field, but the
user has to manually update it.

Does anyone know how to automatically update the field when the file is
opened?

Create an autonew macro in the template to update the fields. Instructions
