Is there a way to get Word to automatically update the entire table of
contents without prompting me about whether I want just the page
numbers or the entire table?

In the Print tab of the Options, I have Update Fields and Update Links
checked.

Here's what I'd like to happen:

1. When I print the document, automatically update the entire TOC
without prompting.

2. If I manually update the TOC (eg, Ctrl-A, F), update the entire TOC
without prompting.

3. If possible, I'd like the the entire TOC updated without prompting
whenever the document is saved as well.

Thanks

Hi LurfysMa

I'm not aware of any way to suppress the prompt.

Hope this helps.
