I am running Outlook 2003 with Business Contact Manager but the menu for this
does not show on the tool bar and I cannot find any "COM" add ins to
install...

thus I cannot link any emails to the contacts

Open Outlook... look on the "File --> Data File Management..." menu and Add a
new BCM database from there.
If it's not listed as an option, go to Help--> About --> Disabled addins -
enable it if it's listed.

Well I got it all working - all of the suggestions that i was able to find
posted on any of the microsoft sites and forums were absolutly no help. I
tried every thing - there were no addins available - it did not matter if
created or changed data bases - i reinstalled and still nothing. The fix was
to download and install the latest service pack. Now it is working.
