The message is "Business Contact Manager has encountered a problem and needs
to close, tried accessing in safe mode, doesn't work. This happened after
installing the latest software updates from Microsoft.  I am using Office
Professional 2003 on an XP Professional machine with half a gig of RAM and
not many programs in memory.

Once I install BCM and try to open Outlook, I get the above error message
repeatedly.  I cannot open Outlook at all until I completely uninstall BCM.

What's going on? Thanks for your help!

Also, I do NOT have .net Framework 2.0 installed on my machine.  Thanks!

Hi Rowans

When you get the error report window do you get  an option which says click
here to view details of the error report coz that might tell us the modname
and the appname causing an issue.

I had a similar error (although not due to .Net v2) and fixed it by
re-installed the Update.  My database was left intact and the Reports
started working again.  I suspect there is some version issue with one
of the files needed to generate the report.

Raul,

I have a .bmp saved of the error message. Is there an email address I could
send it to? I have installed BCM Update with svc pk 2. I have uninstalled and
reinstalled, and now the reports generate, but continue to crash. Also, when
I am trying to manipulate views in the Business Contacts folder I will get
the same error. I have uninstalled .net 2.0 but have not uninstalled and
reinstalled BCM since then. I will do that now while I wait for a reply.

Is this not a program I should involve my company with? We are trying to set
up the most efficient Contact Management database, and I am nervous to even
keep trying with BCM.

Thank you for your help!
