When I open outlook (I also have Business Conatct manager running) I get an
error meessage object reference not set to instance object

Can you try downloading and installing the following hotfix

http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;EN-US;913695

Do note this is a Post SP 2 update for Outlook 2003

Hi Raul,

Thank you for your information on the Hotfix its definitely fixed my problem
with the "object reference" problem as described above. Well done. I suppose
that it doesn't matter how all this started in the first place, but it has
been very time consuming to get over. I had a suspicion that Norton AV 2006
turned off Business contact Manager in my version of Office 2003 Small
Business Edition.
