is there anyway that I can set up tickler list for call backs, this is a very
basic task, if I place a call and would like to follow-up with another call
in 2 weeks should be easy, I would then like to run a report on that list

Create a task linked to the Account/Business Contact and categorize it with a
Category of your choice. Then create a custom Task View for your report. You
could then open the task and go right to the contact to make and record your
phone log entry.

Guy,

This is very similar to what I am trying to do (pls see my other post to
which you replied).  I was trying to use the appointment feature to identify
calls to contacts we needed to make - and have that appear on the calendar.
The task feature does not really appear on the calendar.  When using the
appointment feature I cannot figure out how to officially complete an
appointment and record notes about it (whether it was a call or a meeting).
Any addtional help would be appreciated.

If you turn on the taskpad view it will appear beside your calendar.

Record notes in the body (large rectangle box at the bottom of the
appointment).

An appointment is complete at the end time. An appointment by default is set
to start and end at certain times. They do not "complete" like a task does.

You could identify it by putting call or meeting in the subject line or
using a category. You could also insert your call log into the body of the
meeting.

Also, in your post on this subject, I do not understand what how to create a
custom Task View that will show the contact name - so that you can easily
click to it. Thanks

While viewing tasks, under the view menu select arrange by. Under this menu
you can customize the current view, create or edit other views. In the fields
add contacts to the view.

Thanks, this helpful.  When I go to the creating other views, how can I get
one to produce only a certain date - so that I can print it.  Also, how can I
add the contact associated with each task?

Contacts: In the task dialog at the very bottom left there is a button for
contacts and a filed showing the contacts.

Customized view: Use the filter function when customizing the view to get a
date range.
