Hello,
I'm wanting to sort my Tasks by Opportunity, but I'm not able to get the
Opportunity to show up in my Task list, even though I added many of the
Opportunity fields in the current view.

When I create a task within an opportunity, the "Link to History" and "Name"
information are not saved.  When I initially create the task within the
Opportunity, the Opportunity Title is saved as Parent in the task window,
however, when I open the Task, the Link to History says Select.... and the
Name is greyed out.

Any ideas on how to solve this?

Thank you!

Hi,

The parent information for the linked tasks can be viewed in the Business
History Folder.
When opening a Task item, select the parent in "Link to History" drop down
and click the picker tool beside the "Name" text box. This will open the
dialog box for linking the Task to a parent item. Here you can view the item
that this task is already associated to.
For e.g for a Task already associated to an Opportunity "Opp for 1", an
entry for "Opp for 1" will be visible under "Opportunities" in this dialog
box.

Regards,
SSinha
