When I used personal folders for managing emails, I could easily search for
specific content in all emails in that folder .  Now that I'm using BCM, it
appears I can NOT search the content of any email linked in history.  This is
a huge feature that I would expect in BCM so I wonder if I am just missing
something.  Thanks.

Maybe you should try LookOut, this allows you to search your BCM history
just by including the folder in the LookOut index:
