Hi

I would like to set up a BCM database on SQL 2005 64-bit edition. Will the
database tool be released to support 64-bit SQL? Or has it already been
released?

I would like to do this very soon... so if there is no tool available, what
other options do I have?

Thanks
Stuart

Hi StuartG,

Database Tool is not supported on 64-bit SQL 2005.

Yes, that's what I found - see my original question. I was asking if there
are any plans to support 64-bit. It seems a bit silly to only support the old
technology and not the new? Exchange 2007 is only released on 64-bit, so you
would think MS would make a decision on whether or not they're going to take
this seriously. It's very frustrating for businesses that are using newer
hardware.

That gripe aside, I found the solution in a manual workaround (in case
anyone else reads this and wants the answer). Get the deployment doc here:

It's very easy to do manually. Just set up the DB using the scripts
provided, and then connect BCM on your client computers.

Stuart,

We've noted your suggestion for upgrading the DB tool to 64 bit.

And, I'm happy you were able to work it out with the scripts.
