Business contact manager is running slow

I have 2gb of RAM, with a 1.7ghz Intel processor. For some reason, BCM is
still slow as molasses. Any advice? I've thought about just going back to
Office 2003, but BCM was slow with that program as well. And I need the BCM
because it is the interface for MS Accounting '08. Has anyone found relief?

There was a message from someone a couple months back who discovered
their Vista network driver was buggy. After they updated the driver
Sql, and BCM, was ran several times faster.
