After upgrading from the Microsoft Office 2003 suite of applications to
Microsoft Office Ultimate 2007, I have encountered a view minor glitches. I
also installed Business Contact Manager 2007. Now, whenever I launch
Microsoft Excel, I get a little message box with the 'BCM Office Addin'
displayed in the title area. The message says, "office application version
does not match."

Excel works fine, as does BCM 2007 and Outlook 2007. What do I need to do to
get rid of this message?

Thanks,
Gregg

My guess is that the Office and BCM Service Packs have to match.

I am also having problems with Word 2007. When I try to run Word, I get this
message:

"Word experienced a serious problem with the 'business contact manager for
outlook' add-in. If you have seen this message multiple times, you should
disable this add-in and check to see if an update is available. Do you want
to disable this add-in?"

Do you know how to find the latest update for BCM? Is it part of the
autoupdate stuff? How do you determine if the service packs match? I just
installed both of these fresh from my Technet subscription.

Thanks again,
Gregg

Go to google.com, type "bcm 2007 service pack", click I'm Feeling
Lucky.

BCM 2007 service pack 1 matches and Office 2007 service pack 1.

I found the BCM2007SP1 update here:

http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyId=94C32ABF-5481-460D-805D
-6C274AC1D194&displaylang=en

After downloading and running the update, I got the following message:

"The update cannot be applied."

This was after closing all of my Office applications. I'll make sure none of
the apps are listed in task manager and then try again.

After exiting Outlook, Task Manager showed it was still running. So I ended
the outlook.exe process and tried installing the SP1 update and it worked.

The previous messages regarding office application versions not matching no
longer appear.

Thanks again for you help!!
