Using all the latest of Office 2007 Enterprise on high end stand alone Laptop
...

This is getting real old.  I feel 2007 is way to buggy to have been released.

The killer is this:  About once a week when I start the program, it displays
about 13,000 reminders.  These are all old ones.  I click dismiss all, which
takes a very long time to do and the computer is virtually useless during
this time (i.e. to slow).

Any ideas?

Thanks
Bob

I would like to know an answer to this as well, I have the same issue, but
mine happens about once a month. Is this a product of importing contacts from
Quick Books?

This reminders problem has been reported reported sporadically in this
newsgroup, but I don't recall anyone posting a solution. You could try
aksing Microsoft to fix it.

I doubt importing from QB would trigger this because that import is
pretty simple, mainly contact info like addresses and phone numbers,
and not time related items.

So the reminders have any text, or other indication of what they're
supposed to be reminding one of?

In my situation, I don't import Quickbooks, but it is on the same computer.

The information in the reminder is all the standard information you get with
current reminders.

If the post before this says all you have to do is click the X and the
problem is solved, great.  I will try that.

Thanks!
