I have inherited a BCM 2003 database that is running on SBS 2000. I am
going to install SBS 2003 on a new server. It runs on SQL 2000 now but
SBS 2003 will have SQL 2005. Is it possible to detach the database
from SQL 2000 on SBS 2000 and reattach it on SQL 2005 under SBS 2003
and have Outlook use it ?

It's feasible, although I haven't done this.

Note that BCM connects to a sql instance that responds to a particular
TCP port. Other posts here or on the BCM blog will have details. So
after installing Sql 2005 (which by default creates a default
instance), you will need to create a BCM instance that BCM can
communicate with, and then attach the old database to that instance.
