It would be nice if you had a right-click context menu item to create
Account from Contact which would default the account name to the company in
the contact and add the contact to the contacts list. I think natural daily
workflow is to create contacts first as you talk to people and gather their
info. Then you may want add Account. Another reason I have currently is
ACT imported everything as a contact. Now I have setup 500+ accounts
manually.

I believe there's a way to do what you're asking, and it seems obvious
once you learn it, but I've, sadly, forgotten it. Perhaps someone else
knows, or you can search this newsgroup for that nugget.

I don't have a PC in front of me with BCM loaded but, as I remember...
Go into the contact record, click on the Account button, and click on New.
Some of the contact's data will populate the account record.

Over here, nothing populates. It would make sense if company name, address,
phone and email populate at least.

I had the problem where I couldn't print a report based on company so I
turned all of my Contacts into Accounts. I just opened the BCM contacts
folder, clicked onto one of my contacts, hit CTRL-A to select them all and
then dragged them into my accounts folder. It imports all of the information
with the same fields... which is pretty much everything. If you had any
user-fields you created on the BCM form, then just create them onto the
Accounts General form as well.
