Windows Desktop Search 4

Windows Desktop Search won't index any content in Business Contact Manger
(not even names or phone numbers). BCM search oddly works fine within outlook.

I went to WDS Options, then clicked Modify view Index Locations.  Under the
Outlook option, only Personal Folders and Archives are listed.

Shouldn't BCM be listed as an option or I am doing this wrong?

Please help me index BCM with WDS.  Thanks, in advance.

Others have reported problems with WDS 4.0 and BCM. I think it's still
in beta, so you should definately give the WDS folks this feedback.

Same problem. I have uninstalled and reinstalled without success. I use WDS
to to the search and then click the entry to open in BCM.

Hi All,

We have found the source of the bug in WS 4.0 Beta and have fixed it.
Please reinstall BCM on top of WS 4.0 (or WDS 3.01 if you have already
uninstalled) to fix your issue for now. Sorry for the inconvenience and
thanks for reporting the
issue.

Thanks Saurabh.

My question now would be what is recommend uninstall order and Install
order.
We know have the following installs to juggle:

1) BCM.
2) BCM 2007 sp1
3) Vista sp1
4) Office 2007 sp1
5) Sql Express 2005 sp
6) WS 4.0

By imperical trial and error, all these things need to be uninstalled and
installed in Correct order and I have seen no joy in any docs on this.
Maybe BCM Team blog could post something.  Thanks much.

I followed these instructions and still cannot search contacts in BCM. I have
tried uninstall and reinstall of BCM to no avail.
