I've tried using the 'Link to History' drop down menu at the top of the
email.  If I open the email and use the 'Link to History', save, and close
the message, nothing happens.  If I use the 'Link to History' when the email
is in the preview pane I receive an error report from Microsoft.

Can anyone help me out?!

Hi,
For linking the existing mails to new business Contacts, you can use the
crawler as :
Goto Business Tools --> Link E-mail -->Link Existing E-mail. Follow the
instructions.
