BCM Group,

Ever since I finally got BCM installed I haven't been able to use it.
First of all it kept getting all the way to the 95% mark during
installation and then the whole system just restarted without warning.
I disabled Automatically Restart in the System Recovery and it still
happened about 4 more times. Finally I got it to finish installing when
I reviewed the event logs and noticed that it kept crashing because of
MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM. I had to take it off Automatic and set it for
Manual for BCM to finally finish installing without crashing the
system.

If the MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM for BCM starts automatically it will
eventually cause
the system to restart on its own. If I manually start
MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM it will
eventually cause the system to restart. If I don't start
MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM at
all, the system won't crash/restart and I have no problems BUT I can't
use
BCM either because MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM needs to be running in order to
use it.

This is a copy of the error in the log file at the exact time the
system was crashing:

Microsoft says it's caused by a graphic device driver and I have
updated video drivers and disabled hardware accelleration and the whole
nine but still have the same problem. I have a Nvidia GeForce 4 MX
440SE with AGP 8X and it should not be causing any problems. I don't
get the relationship between the video driver and MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM
anyway?

What could possibly be causing this and how can I get this resolved
because it is killing my productivity and business because it has been
happening for a couple of weeks and I need BCM badly.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
You can find some troubleshooting instructions at
the following URL:

This may help.

No help. All of the things they mentioned are ok.

Before I had to redo my system it worked just fine. Now it just crashes
everytime the MSSQL$MICROSOFTBCM service is running. If this isn't
running the PC doesn't crash at all but as soon as I start it my system
crashes. Outlook works without it running but I can't use any of the
BCM functions and I really need those.

Any other suggestions will be greatly appreciated.

Darin
