Cannot link existing emails to Accounts or Opportunities

Am using a stand-alone version of Outlook 2003 with BCM (part of Office 2003
Small Business Edition) Seem unable to link existing emails to Accounts, or
Opportunities. Have looked at all the help and Tours and followed
instructions to no avail. Have tried opening the mail I wish to link and
linking via BCM toolbar - all works fine, close the mail, am asked if I wish
to save changes, click yes - but no linkage - email is not visible in Account
or Opportunity history. If I open the mail and try to link via Actions/Link
To History, I get the same result - all seems to work OK but no linkage
occurs.

All suggestions much appreciated.

Did you ever find an answer to this problem? I'm having the same problem,
except when I try to do it the first time it kills BCM in Outlook. I get the
"send error report" box.
