How do I get birthdays entered in Contacts to show on my calendar.

I enter birthdays for individuals in the detail section of Contacts.  
However, when I go to my calendar the birthdays do not show up.  Is there a
way to make them show up automatically, or do I need to set up a birthday as
an event?

Birthdays, once entered into the details on the contact item, show
automatically in the DEFAULT calendar, not any user created calendar.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.


After furious head scratching, MME asked:
