After furious head scratching, sankari asked:
| I have set up automatic formatting based on keyowrds in my calender

Thanks for your reply. I do not receive any error messages. I lose all
'Automatic Formatting' settings after restarting my pc a few times. I cannot
find any pattern in how long the formatting remains in calender. They just
seem to diappear. I've tried a detect and repair of Office, which ran
successfully, but did not resolve the problem.
Thanks in advance,
Sankari

I was having the same problem. It seemed to coincide with my switching
calendar views. I was never able to resolve the problem, but after switching
to Outlook 2003 it hasn't happened since.

I have 2003, newly installed and do have the errors. It is when I apply the
automatic formatting based on Categories.
