How do I change the date on the calendar, it is a day behind?

I am having difficulty advancing my date by 1 day as the calendar shows that
it is a day behind.
I have tried to adjust it in the regional settings in control panel but it
is not acepting chenges?
What is next?

Right-click the time display in the lower-right corner of your computer
screen and choose Adjust Date/Time
