I am using Microsoft Outlook 2000 and I have re-occuring appointments that I
would like to color code without having to individually color code each one.
How do I color code all of the appointments all at once. I know it can be
done on 2002 and above using automatic formatting, but that feature is not
available on 2000?

Thanks in advance...

Correct. It was introduced in Outlook 2002.

Sue, I realize it was introduced in 2002. Maybe I should re-phrase my
question...given that it was introduced in Outlook 2002, is there another
means of performing this task in Outlook 2000?

Thanks

Color coding anything in Outlook 2000 requires that you view the items in a
table view.  Use the Automatic Formatting to achieve this.  The colors will
not appear in any Day/Week/Month view, however.

What exactly do you mean by "view the items in table view". And just how do
you go about Automatic Formatting in Outlook 2000?

Thanks...

Table View = rows and columns, such as the By Category view.

You set automatic formatting in the view properties -- View | Current View |
Customize Current View | Automatic Formatting

But as Milly says, it works only in table views. What you want is impossible
to do in Outlook 2000 in a day/week/month view.
