I have a single column within an excel table that has different dates in each
cell. I have another column that describes the activity required.

I want to be able to import those two columns into the Outlook calendar so
that the date and notes on that date are input on the relevant calendar dates.

Can it be done - if so how do I need to prepare the excel spreadsheet and
how i do I import the two columns of data? I try import on Outlook calendar
and it is very vague and I don't understand what information it is asking for.

The easiest way to see what format you should use is to export from an
Outlook calendar to an Excel .xls file.
