Can the PST calendar and Exchange calendar be synchronized?

I have a user who shares their exchange calendar so their admin assistant can
add appointments.  The user's mail is delivered to their pst file.  
Therefore, they only receive reminders for appointments in their pst
calendar.  How can there be a synchronization between the exchange calendar
and the pst calendar so they are exactly the same?
