Our team would like to aggregate our appointments (except those marked
private)from our personal calendars into one team calendar. We've set up a
shared calendar using Net Folders, but we can't work out a way of making our
appointments appear on it automatically or even by an easy semi-automated
process, only by total duplication of effort - no use.

What are you hoping to achieve?  eg everyone able to see each other's
meetings.

What version do you have?

I have Outlook 2000 (SR-1) (if that's relevant). We want to be able to see
each others meetings and vacancies at a glance on one page, without having to
check personal calendar by personal calendar, or testing with a dummy
appointment.

Looking forward to your advice.

The later versions have more functionality in this area.  You could try the
slipstick web site for links to calendar Add ons. www.slipstick.com

A workaround is for each person to use their Right Mouse Button to drag
their meetings onto the shared Calendar and then on releasing click Copy.
They can get a good View of their Calendar using the By Category view, sort
by the date field, highlight a whole batch and right drag to the shared
folder.
