aThanks for the reply ~ although I'm not sure that I get the meaning of it...
I would like to be able to have as my desktop picture an up-to-date current
calendar, so that if I did not have outlook open or if I was editing
contacts, etc., I could go to my desktop and instead of a lovely little
picture my calander would be my preferred viewing ~ this is only for my own
personal home user use...
Can you assist me with this??

See http://www.digidashlive.com/AD_DD.htm - copy the html page that is
linked to it and save it on your computer. Use the information contained
throughout the site to learn how to edit your page (can edit it in notepad)
to meet your needs.
if you just want a monthly calendar wallpaper, use PrtSc to capture the
calendar and trim it in any image editor then set it as your background.

I've followed your instructions as best I can ~ but I still don't get out to
edit...for example how do I get rid of the world weather map and fill the
page with just my calendar...???

you'll need to edit the html... either in notepad or an html editor.
