Office 2003 Outlook Calendar

I just upgraded from Office XP to Office 2003.  I had not used the Calendar
function in XP for a couple of years.  When I try to open the 2003 Calendar,
the Calendar window opens and has this message printed across it: "Unable to
display the folder.  Could not complete the operation.  One or more
parameters values are not valid."  Help!

Create a new mail profile, upgrades from prior versions of Outlook seem to
be most problematic.

the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After furious head-scratching, Eddie asked this group:
