Meeting Buttons not showing up

When I send a meeting request, the response buttons are not showing up in the
receiptents email, just a bunch of **_**_***

When I test send myself a request, I do see the buttons.

Is there a setting I'm missing?

Outlook versions on both ends? Mail server?

They are both Outlook 2003 ... running through the same ISP (server). I

You need to force Rich Text Format rather than the default allow Outlook to
select the best format.

I should also say the ISP is a POP3 mail server through COMCAST ... thinking
about it, I wonder if there is a setting over on the ISP side that needs to
be set?

You can either try what Milly suggested, or look in Tools | Options |
Calendar Options and make sure the box for iCalendar is checked.
