Combine Calendars

I archived my main working calendar too early and now I want to recombine it
into the main calendar. It won't let me copy into subfolders and when I try
to copy the subfolder into the main folder, it just creates a new subfolder.
What do I do?

Copy the items, not the folder. Use the By Category view as a starting
point.
