Updating local and public canlendar simultaneously

I have some users that use a shared calendar in a public folder to keep track
of who is in and who is out of the office, as well as other shared info.

They are now requesting that they be able to update "their" personal
calendar and then have that also update the public calendar at the same time.

Anyone know if this is possible? And if so , could you point me in the right
direction..

Outlook has no mechanism to synch public and private calendars.  You can see
