Why would recurring calendar items without end and future meeting.

Recurring calendar items without end and future meetings disappear from my
calendar.  The date is still bolded, indicating there is an appointment, in
the month view, but no items appear when day-view pulled up.

What view are you using? Does it have a filter applied?
