My main calendar is in yellow.  I just created another calendar in a
subfolder under my main calendar and want this one to be violet; however,
when I go to Tools, Options to change the color, it changes the color of the
main calendar instead.  How do I change the color of the other one?

I don't think other calendar folders are configurable for colors.  It will
take the next available color and I don't think you can specify which color.
