How can I open a .pst file with an older version of Outlook??

I saved all of my Outlook 2003 information in a personal folders file (.pst)
and then had to send the laptop in to get worked on. Now I have saved that
file on my desktop computer and can't find a way to open it. Outlook XP
Standard (2002) (the version I have on my desktop computer) won't recognize
the newer .pst file when I try to import it. Is there any way to access it?
I really need my calendar appointments!! HELP!

You created an Outlook 2003 style .pst that is not backwards compatible.
You could try this - download the 30 day trial of Office 2003, install only
Outlook, open your file using that version, then create a 97-2002 compatible
file. Once created, drag and drop your information from the new to the old.
