I would like to print several days of my calendar in the calendar details
style and have the categories in each appointment print.  I have tried to go
to customize current view and select categories as a new field but it is not
availabe as an onption. The "Hide private details" box is not checked (and my
appointments are not private anyway).  What should I do?

I believe the category field is only available on certain types of calendar
views. e.g. table views.  One way to do this is to create a copy of the
Active appointments - under Define Views.  Name the new copy what ever you
like.  Once the new view is created remove any filters.  The category field
is listed and you should be able to now print this table view of
appointments with the new view.
