Outlook Web Access - scheduling a resource not working

Environment:
3 Exchange 2003 servers (2 clustered)
3 Exchange 2000 servers
Using a Front End 2003 server
All mailboxes involved are on E2K3 servers

Scheduling the same appointment via Outlook 2003 client is successful.

When I schedule a meeting using webmail, it does not successfully book a
conference room.  I scheduled a test meeting this using OWA webmail, and
choose "Conference Room" as a resource, after I scheduled the meeting, it was
on my calendar, but it was not on the Conference Room's calendar.  It does
send an invite to Required and Optional Attendees.

During this process, it did not provide a confirmation message that the
conference room resource had been successfully booked or was being rejected.
As it does with the Outlook 2003 client.

I tried scheduling the same resources for the same time via Outlook 2003
client and received a confirmation message and saw the meeting on the
calendars of the respective rooms.

Any ideas on what may be causing the loss of this functionality via OWA?

You need to check this in an Exchange news group - despite its name, OWA is
a function of Exchange, not Outlook.

After furious head scratching, Steve Ahlers asked:

Where is that check box? I remember seeing something like it before but
cannot find it.

Thank you.

I found my answer in the following KB article:

http://support.microsoft.com/?id=329036

SYMPTOMS
When you try to book a resource like a conference room, for example, by
using a resource mailbox that has been configured to automatically accept
meeting requests, the meeting request is not automatically accepted. You
cannot book the resource, and you do not receive the following confirmation
message:
The resources for the meeting were successfully booked.

CAUSE
This problem occurs because you are trying to book the resource by using
Microsoft Outlook Web Access. Outlook Web Access does not currently support
the "direct booking" of meeting requests.
