I use my outlook calendar to schedule all building activities as well as
personal appointments.  Copies are given to staff.  I mark personal
appointments as private, but then when the calendar prints, it has "private
appointment" printed on the date.  Is there a way to keep this from printing
on the calendar?

Sure can.  As you go through the printing settings you'll see hide details
of private appointments.  Check that box.
