I have an event reminder for April Fool's Day that keeps popping up. When I
click on dismiss, I get the message that the event doesn't exist. I cannot
find it on my calendar. How do I get rid of it?
HAHAHAHAHA - April Fool's Day - that is a good one!
No, seriously, have you tried starting Outlook one time with the
/cleanreminders switch? Start->run->outlook.exe /cleanreminders (note the
space after the .exe and before the /)

After furious head scratching, cjarvis asked:

Thanks very much Milly. It worked perfectly after some hours of trying to
sort out a very similar problem. I had a corrupted calendar entry in Outlook
2002 which when fixed with scanpst in
programfiles\commonfiles\system\mapi\1033 left the reminder running with no
apparent way of switching it off.

I am running Outlook 2000 SP-3. Reminders do not dismiss. I have tried
Start->run->outlook.exe /cleanreminders
but it did not help. Do you have any other suggestions?
