I'm trying to get all calendar entries from a public folder calendar to a
users calendar.

I've tried the export/import to txt/xls but I only get some recuring
entries, not all recuring entries and I don't get any individual entries
(appointments).

I tried exporting to a backup.pst then opening that pst in the new users
outlook but I guess I don't understand what a pst file is because nothing
seems to happen when I open it? There is no aditional calendar to veiw/open?
I've seen some post that say to open the backup.pst in the new users outlook
then do a select all - copy - paste but again I'm not seeing the calendar
from the backup.pst.

using windows 2000 - outlook 2000 - exchange 2000

First, make the Public Folder a Folder Favorite. Then open the Favorite
folder, display in a category view, and drag and drop the selected items to
the personal calendar.

Thanks Milly,
I got a bit further. I could at least do as you suggessted to a degree. I
don't know how to make a calendar a favorite, but the calendar I need to copy
from is in a public folder so I can get to it. I don't know what "display in
a category view" means. The two calendars I'm working with are Resoure
calendars so they have hundreds of appointments and dozens of recurring
entries. Using your method, as best I understand it I could only drag and
drop individual appointments from one calendar to the other and I had to be
super careful to drag each appointment onto the correct date. I'm kind of
confused why the export doesn't work or why this isn't a simpler process? I
would think moving appointment data between calendars would be as simple as
moving contact data between address books. Perhaps I just don't know OL well
enough? No suprise there.

To make a folder a Public Folder Favorite, try using F1 help. To display by
category use the View menu or the advanced toolbar. To move all
appointments, click in the calendar displayed in category view, select all,
then drag and drop to the destination calendar FOLDER, not the calendar
itself.
