Most of what I have read would indicate that giving others read only rights
to your appointments but restricting some appointments by marking them
private is safe.  The links below give warnings otherwise.  Is this still an
issue or is it fixed by the latest Exchange patches?

A known issue since at least Outlook 2000.  I don't think any Exchange patch
is going to solve it, but I am not privy to the Exchange program managers'
thoughts.
