I am getting an error message "Unable to save free/busy information" and
"Unable to open free/busy information".

In keeping with the error message, I am unable to save and open various
appointments.

I am running Office Outlook 2003 version 11.6359.6408 Sp1 with XP Home
edition. I also synch outlook with my Treo pda.

can anyone advise me? What is the problem and how do I fix it?

Thanks

Are you trying to save free/busy info, if so are you correctly pointed to
the location that will allow you to save and search free/busy.
Look in "Tools-Options-Calendar Options-Free/Busy options.
