i want to color code different family member appointments in outlook so i can
see at a glance who needs to be where on overlapping times... can this be
done? i envision being able to 'dump' color into the appt, but can't find
anything relating to this... please help

Try putting initials for each person in the relelveant appointment. You can
then assign a colour to each of these and it will auto-format
