Here is my problem, whenever someone sends me a meeting request, I check the
e-mail, if I do not respond (accept, deny, or tenative) it still goes into my
calendar as a tenative appt.  How can I prevent that from happening?  Thanks

This is a long shot but do you have any of the "Automatically accept"
options set here: Tools menu > Options > Calendar > Resource Scheduling
