Outlook 2003.  I have a calendar which is all grunged up with duplicate
entries, etc.  I want to clear the entire year (clear the entire calendar).
How may I do this without having to manually delete each (of hundreds) of
entries?  Thank you.

I would use the AutoArchive feature.  You can use the default or a separate
setup for each folder.  Right click on your calendar and select properties
and the AutoArchive.  You will see and option to AutoArchive Using These
Setting.  - At this point you can choose how far back you want to either
move or delete the calendar items.
